Swiss CAT+ East is a technology platform offering tools and expertise for data-driven high-throughput and automated heterogeneous catalysts discovery and optimization.
Robotic platforms to synthesize solid catalysts according to state-of-the-art methods, including impregnation, precipitation, and
solvothermal synthesis.
High-throughput batch and fixed-bed reactors to evaluate the performances of the catalysts under various conditions, targeting sustainable fuels and chemicals production (CO/CO2 hydrogenation, Methane Dry Reforming, Propane ODH, Methanol to olefins...).
Extensive heterogeneous catalyst characterization tools (XRD, XRF, TPX…) will link catalysts’ performances to their structural properties. The Hub also has access to ETHZ core lab facilities, including advanced TEM and solid-state DNP-NMR for the fine characterization of hits.
Collaboration with leading Artificial Intelligence companies, ETH supercomputing facility, and “in-house developed” algorithms will support data analysis and design of experiments.
