Chemspeed CatPrep

The "CatPrep" unit is a robotic platform allowing the fully automated synthesis of non-air sensitive catalysts (and chemicals), from precursor's solutions preparation to the centrifugation/washing and drying of the compounds. The unit aims at reproducing the synthesis of solid catalysts according to conventional methods (impregnation, precipitation, hydro/solvo thermal synthesis), but could be adapted to other chemistry upon request.

The main features of the "CatPrep" unit are:

  • Automated solids (powders /small extrudates) and liquids dispensing from various sources to glass vials of 2, 8 or 20 ml.
  • A maximum of 8 microtiter plates (MTP) each containing 40*2 ml, 24*8 ml, 11*20 ml vials.
  • MTP can be thermally controlled (-20 to 150 °C) and agitated.
  • Integrated vials capping/decapping.
  • Automated pH measurement and adjustment in each vial.
  • 24*20 ml glass reactors with reflux, temperature control, shaking, vacuum/N2 atmosphere and integrated filtration.
  • Integrated centrifugation, vacuum drying or activation under reactive gases.
  • Barcoded vials/MTP allows for tracking and recording of the synthesis conditions for each compound.
